There were more than half a million visits to the Rec Complex in 2007, with programs and rentals continuing to grow in popularity.  The Expansion Master Plan integrates with the existing plan, while adding a new south entrance to welcome visitors from the main campus and Jardine Apartments.

New amenities include a 45-foot climbing wall, multi-activity courts, a large multipurpose room divisible into 4 areas, training studio, and media lounges.  Updated materials and finishes will incorporate K-State "branding" and bring the existing building up to the same standard as new construction.

The 1/8-mile track will be increased to 1/5- mile.  The cardio and weight areas will grow by 10,000 square feet, doubling the existing space.
