Jardine Building '8' is the keystone for the Jardine redevelopment project, and is the building used on the K-State Housing & Dining Services logo.
The first floor will house a reception area to direct visitors to the residential services office suite, two high-tech classrooms or functions located on the second to fifth floors. The spaces on the upper floors will accommodate meetings, conferences, luncheons or evening receptions for students, faculty, administration or visiting dignitaries.
Traditionally styled, the building has some unique features that include custom porcelain tiles and custom woodwork styled as the Kansas state flower - sunflowers. Large pendant fixtures were also custom built to fit the very high spaces, up to 40 feet.
